The terms behind coaching and training

What these terms cover

These terms apply to your use of this website and to the coaching and training services described on it. They sit alongside the individual agreement you receive before a coaching engagement starts or a training place is confirmed; where the two differ, the individual agreement takes precedence.

Career coaching

• Coaching is a thinking partnership, not advice, therapy, legal, medical or financial advice. Decisions about your career remain yours.
• Sessions are delivered online by video or phone and last 60 minutes unless the individual agreement says otherwise.
• Session notes and a summary of agreed actions are provided after each session.
• Reschedule or cancel with at least 24 hours' notice at no cost. A later cancellation, or a missed session, is counted as delivered because the time was reserved.
• Where an employer funds the coaching, we agree in writing what will be shared with the sponsor — normally attendance and program completion only.

Confidentiality and its limits

What you discuss in coaching stays between us. There are two limits, stated in every agreement so there are no surprises:

• Where there is a serious risk of harm to you or another person, we may need to involve an appropriate third party
• Where we are legally obliged to disclose information
• In addition, coaching content may be discussed in confidence with a supervisor for the purpose of professional development, with identifying details removed

Coach training programs

• Applications are reviewed individually. We may decline an application, or recommend a different starting point, where the entry requirements are not met.
• A place is confirmed only when the enrollment agreement is signed and any deposit or first installment has cleared.
• Tuition figures shown on the website are indicative and confirmed in writing before enrollment. Nothing is charged through this website.
• Installment plans are interest-free and must be completed before the cohort finishes unless agreed otherwise in writing.
• If you withdraw before the cohort starts, you receive a full refund less any non-recoverable administrative costs stated in the enrollment agreement. Once a cohort has begun, refunds are pro-rated for sessions not yet delivered.
• Materials supplied during a program are for your own practice. They may not be resold, republished or used to deliver competing training.
• Participants who miss more than two live sessions may be asked to join the following cohort for the practice elements so that supervised hours remain valid.

• Assessment results are a structured reflection tool, not a psychometric instrument, and should not be relied on as a clinical or diagnostic assessment.

Limits of liability

We deliver coaching and training with professional care, but we cannot guarantee a specific career outcome: hiring decisions, budgets and timing involve other people. To the extent permitted by law, our liability in connection with any engagement is limited to the fees paid for that engagement.

Changes and governing terms

We may update these terms from time to time; the version that applies to your engagement is the one in your agreement. Any dispute is handled under the jurisdiction and dispute-resolution route stated in that agreement, and we will always attempt to resolve a concern directly and in good faith first.
